Marin was raised in Postira, a picturesque village on the island of Brač in Croatia, where he completed both his elementary and high school education. Motivated by his aspirations, he found himself in the neighboring country of Slovenia, immersing himself in the study of visual communications at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana.
His career path after graduation led him to become an assistant teacher, spending a decade honing students’ calligraphy skills, immersing them in the rich world of writing techniques and scripts of our Western culture, and guiding them through the intricate realm of type design. In addition to his various design projects, he created and developed high-quality fonts, launching them under his own brand, Type Fleet, a boutique type foundry specialized in type and visual identity services.
